Classes are taught in the traditional Yupik way of "Watch first, then do." Participants observe the process before doing it themselves, but are guided along the way when clarification is needed.Continuing the tradition of working on the floor, fabric is laid out in front of you to cut/tear into.
Class is split into two day work sessions, each lasting 5 hours or more. The process is split into 3 sections: cutting, prepping and finally assembly.
